About Us

Ukraine Christian Partnership (“UCP”) was originally an informal group made up of members mainly from two churches, Holy Trinity Claygate and United Reformed Church Petersfield, but became an independent UK registered charity in 2011. We have seven trustees who are committed to personally make donations to cover all admin costs and expenses so you can be assured that 100% of any donations (and gift aid) goes to those that need it.

Our Aim

Our aim has been to provide sustainable support for these communities on the edge of Ukraine (just outside the EU) which have suffered tremendously over the years from the politics played in the region – with numerous boundary changes such that they have been in 5 different countries in the last 100 years (but in the same villages).
We have now expanded this to focus our efforts on helping all Ukrainians – especially those who are refugees or displaced from war-torn cities and those suffering exceptional hardship.

Year-round Support

Working through the local pastors and officials we aim to provide year-round support although we have traditionally had 2 main immersive visits to the villages – in the winter and then (the much larger) summer mission. These were stopped by Covid and now unfortunately the war.

Our trustees and helpers are all volunteers – no one claims a salary – but the appreciation and hospitality we receive from staying with the people we serve in Ukraine is overwhelming to all of us – and makes us and many of our supporters want to come back year after year; both to serve but also to revisit the friends we make there. The people we serve are anxiously waiting for our return as soon as peace is restored but in the meantime targeted financial support is what we can provide

Our Work

Ukraine Christian Partnership tries to provide all-year-round support to the villages principally through the ministers and local leaders there. Our largest event is our “Summer Mission” with approximately 60-70 participants from the UK, Hungary, Ukraine and elsewhere aiming to support the villages with a medical mission, school and youth projects and a community mission.

Latest News

Each summer mission we keep a blog of how the mission is going.
